Data Processing Status

Data for CR 2096:240–2125:030 (1 May 2010 – 16 July 2012) were based on data mapped and tracked using a camera position angle that was subsequently established to about 0°.07 in error and corrected. The corresponding records have not been reprocessed.

These fits were discontinued beginning with CR 2172 (25 Dec 2015). All records in the data series were generated with Version 0.8 of the creating module.

The following records have been subsequently reprocessed and exist in multiple versions in the DRMS database:

Data Notes

The fixed arguments to rdfitf that have been used in populating this series are: When the fitting procedure fails to find any acceptable modes, no output file fit.out is created in the SUMS directory corresponding to the record, leaving it empty, since no log file is ever created. On other occasions a fit file is created but it is empty.Since there is no Quality key in the record available to indicate missing data, nor is the number of fits recorded, it is difficult to find such records, except by failure to open the supposed data file or read any data. The following records have been found to have either no fit files or empty ones (marked with an asterisk). (Those marked with arrows are not especially far from disc centre. For these records the corresponding values of MeanMu and MAI for the region are given. It is evident that except for the records with empty fit files, which all occurred in processing the Carrington time step 2132:285, these correspond to regions with very high values of the Magnetic Activity Index.)
