Data Processing Status

Data for CR 2096:240–2125:015 (1 May 2010 – 17 July 2012) were based on data mapped and tracked using a camera position angle that was subsequently established to about 0°.07 in error and corrected. Reprocessing of the tracked cubes using the corrected angle, and of the data products dependent on them, is complete.

Data for CR 2098:360 through CR 2234:015 are based on data mapped and tracked using an ephemeris value for the Carrington longitude of disc centre that was in error by 0°.0819. Data reprocessed since 2020.09.27 are based on tracked data corrected for this error.

Data for CR 2202:285, 2202:210–195, and 2203:275 were based on data tracked without background subtraction.

Records for CR 2096–2101 that were reprocessed in 2020 (between Sep 27 and Dec 7) were subsequently removed due to an error in the tracking code used at the time on which the data were based.

Data Notes

The fixed arguments to pspec3 that have been used in populating this series are:

pspec= hmi.rdVpspec_fd15 (required)
mask_in= 0.9765625
apodize= 0.96875

It should be noted that the inner apodization mask value of 0.9765625 actually sets unit weight within a region of diameter 14°.96; to apodize to unit weight at a diameter of 15°, the inner apodization mask value should be 0.979112.

Prior to 2 May 2019, the values of CRPIX1 and CRPIX2 (the WCS pixel location corresponding to 0 spatial frequency in k_x and k_y respectively) in all records were erroneously reported as 192.5. They were all corrected to 193.0 on that date.
