HMI Magnetic Field Data

HMI measures the Sun's magnetic field over the entire visible disk with 1 arc second resolution.

Magnetograms are available with a cadence of 45s (line-of-sight) and 720s (line-of-sight and vector).

Definitive data products are generally available in a few days.
Some near-real-time (NRT) products are available within minutes.

HMI Active Region Patches (HARPs) are followed during their disk passage.

Synoptic maps are prepared for each rotation and updated daily.

Polar field and zonal magnetic field averages are updated weekly.

Helioseismic images of far-side acoustic travel-time shift (an indicator of magnetic flux) are updated every 12 hours.
